Winterton Open Gardens

Winterton is a small rural town in North Lincolnshire, England, 5 miles North-East of Scunthorpe. The population is approximately 5,000 people.

Winterton has a long history going back to Roman times and several large mosaic floors and other Roman remains have been found here. A roman mosaic was unearthed over 20 years ago and now resides in the Reception Area of Pittwood House (the Civic Centre for North Lincolnshire Council), on Ashby Road, Scunthorpe.
